2024 Gathering Gamay
$55.00 / bottle
The second this wine hits a glass, it shocks with its unexpected electric colour. Best described as a purple party thrown by its anthocyanins – the polyphenol pigments that bring the colour in Gamay’s red skins.
DRINKS LIKE: Blackberry. Violets. Juicy blood plum. Provençal herbs. Fine tannins.
LOVE IT FOR: One of the Adelaide Hills best kept secrets. It grows oh so well up here and its only a matter of time before the secret’s out!
FUN FACT: Grown since the 14th Century but has always played second fiddle to its famous neighbour, Pinot Noir. Not for long!

Season
2024 delivered a cool, even growing season that yielded wines with intense yet delicate flavours and vibrant colours. February and March saw an absence of rainfall, coupled with low crop yields and warmer temperatures, which led to an unusually fast-paced harvest.
Vinification
Single vineyard fruit is sorted into whole bunch and whole berry ferments, where it’s plunged and foot trodden twice daily over 14 days. It’s then basket pressed into French oak and matured in our cellar for 8 months.
