Crush Competition Terms and Conditions



By entering the promotion referred to in these official rules Win one Crush Festival Prize Pack you the entrant and we the promoter whose details are set out below are entering into a contract on the terms of these official rules

  1. How to enter: You enter the Promotion by liking The Lane Vineyard on Facebook and tagging a friend who you’d like to share the prize with.
  1. Eligibility: Only individuals aged 18 and older can enter. Employees, contractors, agents and suppliers and the immediate family members of any of the parties associated with the Promotion are ineligible to enter.  Automatically or mechanically produced entries are ineligible.
  2. The Promotion starts at 10:00am Wednesday 25 January 2017 and closes at 10:30am Monday 30 January 2017. The winner will be selected at 10:30am Monday 30 January 2017. Times are Adelaide South Australian times.
  3. The total prize value does not exceed AU $220. The values are the usual or recommended retail or market values of the prizes.
  4. The Promotion involves an element of chance. We will aim to undertake the determination of the winner in a fair and transparent manner. Winning is not contingent on being present at selection of winners.
  5. We will aim to distribute the prize and will take every reasonable effort to identify and contact an entrant selected as a winner. We will allow a reasonable period (and in any event one week or such longer legally required period) within which the person may claim their prize.  If person selected as the winner of the prize does not claim the prize within the time provided in these Official Rules or if we have made reasonable but unsuccessful efforts to identify or contact the person, we may substitute another person as the winner using a subsequent selection.  The date of any re-selection will be as soon as reasonably practicable after the need for a re-selection process occurs.  The time of day and place of the re-selection will be the same as for the original selection.
  6. It is the entrant’s responsibility to confirm and ensure their contact details are up to date. We will aim to notify all winners personally..  If you are a winner and you claim your prize and comply with the other requirements of these Official Rules, we will do everything reasonably necessary to ensure you receive your prize on the date nominated above after your selection as a winner by providing a collection point at the event for your prize. We will not charge winners any fee upon receipt of their prize.
  7. There may be terms applicable to prizes in addition to those set out in these Official Rules. Before allocating a prize to you, we may ask you to agree to some terms in addition to these Official Rules.  These would be (a) a statutory declaration confirming your eligibility to be a winner; (b) providing us with any additional information we ask as being appropriate to allocate and manage the award of the prize and claiming your prize and (c) where the prize involves participation by others nominated by you, their consents to the collections, uses and disclosures of information about them which are similar to those you give us under these Official Rules.  These additional terms may be with someone other than us.   Entry into the Promotion may require you to, or allow you to, use any electronic (online) service which is not provided by us.  Where you subscribe to such a service (eg are a member) and have entered the Promotion using it, you agree to abide by the terms of such service in addition to these Official Rules, including where required by that service provider, that you completely release that service provider and acknowledge that the Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by or associated with that service provider.
  8. By entering, you agree that whether or not you are selected as a winner, we, our group companies and those with whom we or they have commercial alliances (eg prize providers and trademark licensors), and without payment of any fee or obtaining any further consents (a) may use and disclose information about or depicting you (eg your image and/or voice) to promote goods and services using such media (including electronic media such as email, SMS and social media platforms) and in such ways as is reasonable in the circumstances; and (b) will be given such cooperation as is reasonably requested of you as regards participation in media requests, eg being interviewed and photographed.
  9. We may collect, use and disclose information about you for direct marketing and data analytics purposes. Such purposes may concern our goods and services, those of our group companies or those with whom there are commercial alliances (eg prize providers and trademark licensors).  The means of any direct marketing may include electronic media (email, SMS and social media platforms).  We may also collect, use and disclose information about you for the purpose of giving effect to this Promotion and any award of a prize to you, as required or permitted by law, as set out in our privacy policy and otherwise consented to by you.  Where the promoter is The Lane Vineyard, you agree that The Lane Vineyard may also collect, use and disclose information about you for direct marketing and data analytics purposes on the terms of this clause.  You may access the privacy policy of these companies by contacting 08 8388 1250 – The Lane Vineyard
  10. These Official Rules are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws in force in the state of South Australia. Subject to your rights under Consumer Laws referred to below, you agree that in relation to the Promotion (a) we will not be liable for any circumstances in connection with the Promotion which are beyond our reasonable control; (b) if we are or become liable to you for any reason, our liability will be limited to any out-of-pocket expenses incurred by you up to a maximum of the total prize value referred to above, (c) we will not be liable for any other damages (whether those other damages are referred to as direct, indirect, consequential, special or otherwise) nor shall we be liable for any act or omission, negligent or otherwise, except to the extent allowed for in paragraph (b); (d) if any circumstances in connection with the Promotion occur which require some action by us, we may take such action as a reasonable promoter in our circumstances would take by way of response.  In some circumstances, this may involve cancelling the Promotion and any award of prizes under it; and (e) we are bound only by the terms set out or referred to in these Official Rules in respect of the Promotion and only those terms govern this Promotion and set out our agreement.
  11. Your rights under Consumer Law and who you give your commitments to
  1. Details of prizes include 2 official Crush Glasses, 2 separate packs of three aromatic bottles from our Block Series and 2 complimentary Gathering tastings. Total prize value: $220. Prize pick-up from The Lane Vineyard at time of your Gathering tasting. The winner or his/her nominated recipient must be over 18 years of age. Entries and prizes are not transferrable and are not redeemable for cash.
  • Regardless of anything else in these Official Rules, nothing in these Official Rules excludes, restricts or modifies the application of Consumer Laws or the exercise of any rights or remedies you may have under Consumer Laws where any such exclusion, restriction or modification would contravene Consumer Laws. “Consumer Laws” refers to the ‘Australian Consumer Law under Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), and any applicable similar consumer protection laws in the states and territories of Australia.’
  • In respect of your promises under these Official Rules, we, in entering into the terms of these Official Rules shall be deemed to be doing so for ourselves and also as agent for and on behalf of and for the benefit of each of Our Associates and, to this extent, each of Our Associates shall be deemed to be a party to the terms of these Official Rules and your promises under these Official Rules are enforceable by each of ourselves and each of Our Associates directly. In these Official rules, ‘Our Associates’ includes (with each corporation individually described as a Principal) any or all of:
  • a director, officer, employee, agent or subcontractor of us;
  • any related body corporate of the Principal within the meaning of, in Australia, the Corporations Act 2001
  • a body corporate that is engaged in a joint venture with us or with a Principal;

(with each of the above individually described as a Principal);  and ­­

  1. Complaints: If you are dissatisfied with the conduct of the promotion and remain so after any contact with us you choose you can make a written complaint to the government agency which regulates trade promotions in your location. We will provide you with agency details on request.

Without limiting the other provisions of these Official rules, our rights under the terms of these Official Rules may be exercised by us and by our transferees, licensees and group members and by the contractors of any of the foregoing.

I just wanted to pass on the biggest thankyou to yourself & all the staff at TLV who hosted our wedding. Dave & I are super pleased we chose TLV as our wedding venue. Dave & I, as well as other guests who attended just can’t stop talking about the day & evening we had. 

Each & every staff member at TLV were wonderful. From the chefs in the kitchen making such amazing food that my guests are still talking about. The girls (& guys) behind the bar serving the drinks. There was probably not a glass in sight that I saw on the night empty or waiting on the next, whether that was of the alcoholic type or simply even just water. 

A big thanks to Hugh the Restaurant manager for putting up with us & helping out. Just the little touches we notice.

And last, but not least, Crystel. As I said in my speech, you really were wonderful on the day becoming the 4th (most outstanding) 'bridesmaid' I could have. You made the day run so smoothly from the planning, to accommodating our (maybe tacky & bizarre) needs, & just being so easy going. I felt I could trust you with anything. Thanks for all your hard work on the day.

Your staff truly made for what was such a wonderful evening that Dave & I will forever remember. 

There are not many venues that provide such exceptional service. You can tell your venue works great as a team & you all deserve big pats on your backs for all your hard work. I notice that TLV always make customer satisfaction a priority, which I think is seen far & few between places these days. Especially wineries.

My Wife and I recently celebrated our marriage at The Lane and wish to pass on our feedback about how wonderful your Weddings & Events Manager, Sam Mitchell, has been throughout our planning process and on the day.

Sam was consistently welcoming, professional, thoughtful and responsive throughout our planning.  

Things didn't go quite to plan on the day itself with the wind blowing an absolute gale meaning we had to change the location of the ceremony from the hilltop to the lawn, and the pre-dinner drinks and canapés from the lawn to the barrel room.  Which all meant last minute flow on changes and running around for Sam to get people out of the restaurant, fight the wind to set up our ceremony on the lawn and re-direct proceedings when the bride arrived early.

We couldn't have asked for a more friendly, professional and supportive events coordinator and we are truly grateful for her assistance. The day wouldn't have gone so smoothly without her.  She is truly an asset to your team.

Dining Room Terms & Conditions


All bookings require a pre authorisation on a credit card of $10pp, this will be released the day of your reservation. 


If you cancel your reservation with more than 24 hours notice, the pre-authorisation will be released. Cancellation within 24 hours of your booking will result in the pre-authorisation being charged. 


You will receive a confirmation email immediately upon booking, with a follow up email 24-36 hours prior to your reservation. 


We can offer children’s packages for your younger guests (suited 3 – 12 year olds).  This package is $35 per child, and consists of a main meal (fish or chicken cotoletta w/ hand-cut chips), ice cream for dessert, and also includes soft drinks and juice.  We usually require at least 1 weeks’ notice if you require children’s meals, as all components are freshly hand made by our kitchen team. Should you require children’s meals on a shorter time frame, please ring our Reservations Team on 08 8388 1250 to confirm availability.

Dietary requirements

We can cater for most dietary requirements; please contact our Reservations Team prior to your lunch of any dietary needs for your guests.

Groups of 8 or more

We offer our a la carte menu for tables up to 7 guests in total. Should your guests total 8 or more, we offer our Shared Menu (this is a Chef's selection) and require a pre authorisation of $10pp to secure your reservation. We do not provide separate accounts. One account will be provided for the whole group on the day.

Reservation times

Please be aware that we operate upon a specific time schedule with our reservations.  We ask that your guests are prompt with arrival times to prevent delays in service for your group.  We strongly suggest you advise your guests of your reservation time to avoid disappointment.

Should you wish to conduct a wine tasting prior to your lunch, please arrive 30 minutes prior to your booking time (available only for groups of up to 8 guests).

Departure times

Our Dining Room and Tasting Room close at 4pm daily.  On weekends where we have weddings scheduled we ask that you depart strictly at 4pm. We suggest informing your transport to arrive 15 minutes prior to your departure time, as this will allow your guests time to finish up and not feel rushed.

A wine epiphany in two parts…. After proposing to his wife Nirelle in Italy 2001, Ben immersed himself in the kaleidoscope of regions across Italy discovering the subtlety, elegance and complexity of ‘lunch weight’ wine. He then met his parents John and Helen in France, renting a Gité in Beaune, eating and drinking local. More food friendly wines of elegance / structure and generational family winery experiences brought it all together to start his journey. As too his belief being custodians of the land; generating a family lineage within a special site is now his life ambition. France can do this to you. At lunch with the family at Beau Rivage in Condrieu, he discovered the beauty of a sense of place and luxury. Exactly where The Lane’s Vineyard’s winery and dining room sit today. Enter the land of the long lunch.

The second epiphany occurred when Ben was seriously injured falling off a quad bike in the vineyard in 2006. During recovery he read Jancis Robinsons ‘World Atlas of wine’, not a small project! From this time of reflection & rehabilitation he gained perspective of The Lane’s uniqueness in the luxury world of fine wine.

Ben is a graduate of Winemakers Federation of Australia Future Leader’s program, Advanced Wine Assessment Course, and has a Masters of Business from the University of South Australia. A passionate ambassador for Wine Australia, the Adelaide Hills wine region and his family’s estate; Ben travels frequently delivering the authentic, unique and continually evolving message of The Lane Vineyard. Married to Nirelle with twin boys Alexander & Hugo; life is eternally rewarding. Being a shareholder in the family business is a unique opportunity and responsibility – Ben hopes to hand the keys to the next generation with The Lane being recognised as one of Australia’s great estates. Shipping Policy

Shipping Policy:

We can deliver within Australia by Fastway Couriers and Australia Post. Approximate delivery times (from email confirmation of order): 

•    Sydney & Melbourne  4 working days 

•    Adelaide  3 working days 

•    Regional South Australia  4 working days 

•    Brisbane, Hobart, Perth  6+ working days 

•    Regional Australia  6+ working days 

The goods will not be delivered to persons under the age of eighteen (18) years.  We may request that the person who receives the goods provide satisfactory evidence of proof of age. We will refuse to deliver the goods if the person receiving the goods is unable or unwilling to provide evidence of proof of age.

You must not purchase goods from us for the purposes of resale (all goods must be for personal use). 

Where applicable exact shipping costs are calulated in the shopping cart and will be added to the order total before checkout. Orders are dispatched with 2 business days. Shipping times are estimated at between 2 and 10 business days depending on your location.

Anyone at the nominated delivery address who receives the goods is presumed to be authorised to receive the goods.

While we will use all reasonable endeavours to deliver by any requested or agreed date, we do not guarantee delivery on that date and we are not liable for any loss resulting from late delivery.

Exact shipping costs are calculated in the shopping cart and will be added to the order total before checkout.

Returns Policy:

If goods are damaged in transit, we will arrange collection of damaged goods and replace them at our cost.

If the goods are faulty, not of merchantable quality, defective or not fit for their purpose, we will arrange for their collection and will either replace the goods or provide a full refund, at your choice. If you change your mind once you recieve the goods, you may within 7 days return them to us at your cost and we will send you alternative goods, selected by you to the same value (minus the value of any consumed goods and the additional frieght to re-send the goods).

Vintages are subject to change but we will advise customer by email or telephone if this is the case before dispatch of stock. The customer has the option to confirm, cancel or modify their order at this time.

The Sale Contract:

Is made at our licensed premises, Ravenswood Lane, Hahndorf, South Australia, from where the goods will be dispatched under our Producers Licence no 50810188.


No obligation to sell the goods will arise until we accept your order, and receive payment.  Orders cannot be cancelled once accepted, unless by arrangement with us.

Risk and Title:

Risk and title in the goods passes to you upon delivery of the goods to the Delivery Address.


Our prices are subject to variation – the price payable for the goods is the price applicable on the date when we confirm your order.

The quoted price does not include the delivery and handling fee (if applicable) in respect of each order.  The total amount payable is the price for each of the goods, together with the applicable delivery and handling fee.  

Limitation of Liability:

Nothing in this Contract is to be interpreted as having the effect of excluding, restricting or modifying any condition or warranty, or right or liability implied by any applicable legislation into the arrangement between us and you, if such exclusion, restriction or modification would be void or prohibited by the legislation.

To the extent that we breach any condition or warranty implied into the arrangement between us and you and which cannot be excluded or modified, The Lane Vineyard’s  liability is limited to, at our discretion, either: (i) replacement of the goods or supply of equivalent goods; (ii) payment of the cost of replacing the goods or acquiring equivalent goods; and in the case of services, to: (i)  supply of the services again; or (ii) payment of the cost of having the services supplied again.

Subject to the above, we are not liable to you (or to any third party claiming through you) for, and you release us from, any loss, liability, damage, expense or cost whatsoever and includes (without limitation) indirect or consequential loss or damage, loss of profits or business opportunity,  and damage to equipment or property (“Loss”) caused by any act or omission of The Lane Vineyard, its employees or agents, and whether based on negligence or other tort, contract or otherwise.


We may add to, delete, or otherwise change any of the terms of this Contract. We will notify you of any substantial changes to these terms & conditions. Your use of our service after notice will constitute your deemed acceptance of such changes.
