Serious Chardonnay. Complex texture and structure with multifaceted fruit.
Colour: Brilliant gold.
Nose: Sophisticated oak, complex white peach, creme brulee, squeeze of lime, white almond, grilled peach.
Palate: Persistent depth of flavour, compelling minerality with real height of palate. Light roasted cashew, french nougat, lemon curd, marmalade, kumquat.
Vintage Notes: A strict regime of yield control, canopy management and organic solutions, deliver the vitality of the vineyard into each glass.
Viticulture: Sourced from our oldest and most revered Chardonnay plantings on the top of a shaley hill. Only individual panels of (3) vines that offered the combination of complex minerality, concentration of flavours and bright acidity were selected for harvest for this wine. Grown using sustainable vineyard practices, this wine is all about the particular flinty nuances that only come from this 1.3 ha patch.

James Halliday Wine Companion 2012
Wine review: This has the extra dimension of texture and structure, thanks largely to the strands of crunchy / minerally acidity that weave their way through the multifaceted fruit. Seriously good chardonnay.

The Wine Front
Wine review: "A formidable Chardonnay for grace and carry of fruit flavor where oak takes a back seat but complexity and fruit has right of way to express the cooler, more refined characters you can get from great sites in the Adelaide Hills. Everything is meshed. Sleek. Sophisticated."
